Recruitment丨The Most Challenging Pigeon Race In China Is Waiting For Your Joining!

Xi’an, the oldest city of the Four Great Ancient Capitals, with its profound culture, has been developing pigeon sport vigorously for decades of years.

Around October and November, the most challenging race in China was put on the Xi’an pigeon stage. How challenging is it? It’s a five rounds race from three directions, that is, within one month the birds have to fly 1x450km and 1x500km from the northeast, 1x500km from the north, 1x500km and 1x450km from the northwest! It is a competition system that has never been tried in the world before!

The race was held by Xi’an Weili Racing Pigeon Club, formed by Weili Company in 2013, which has a history of 18 years. Accompanying the growth of pigeon sport in Northwest China, Weili is one of most famous racing pigeon brand in China and has established an extensive and in-depth international cooperation with fanciers and organizations in Europe, including F.C.I., which set up a delegation to visit Weili and had held one loft race with Weili since 2015.

Based on the accumulation of 18-year management and organizing experience, Weili Racing Pigeon Club has grown by leaps and bounds in the tide of professionalization of pigeon sport and become one of the few widely known top-class clubs in China. Nearly all the best racers of China are participating in its formidable competition to outdo one another to show who is the real and biggest Ace in the country and, of course, to win unbelievable prize money, more than $ 10 million!!

In order to promote the development of pigeon industry and to build a platform for fanciers to show their pigeons and realize their pigeon racing dream, Weili Club constucted Weili Manor in 2015. This picturesque manor is located in Lintong District, an exclusive area in one of the suburbs of Xi’an, and 15 kilometers far from the Chin Terracotta Warriors. Participants can rent one of the nine lofts in the manor randamly to race their youngsters. The positive aspect of this method is that all the birds have to return to the same location – which means more honest races – while you can still take care of your own birds. 

As metioned in the beginning, from October 5^th to November 12^th, the five-round race for younsters named by “the Pigeons of China 2016” was staged between the nine teams in the manor and local racers in Xi’an. After five rounds getting through the rainy, cold, hazed weather and twice-transformed racing line, 423 Pigeons of China came out on top from the initial 3092 pigeons. Kimberly Loft from a famous local fancier, ZHANG Bin from Bejing and Macau ASEAN Kokusai Pigeon of SU Ming won the first three Ace-pigeons! Under hardest circumstance and the roughest racing lines all over China or maybe the world, the season in 2016 of Weili Club came to the end with great success!

The staff in Weili have always believed in ”Honesty is the life of cause, and Justice is the root of competition!“ For the sake, it is their firm conviction that Honesty and Justice have been leading them to create more and more merits. 

Nowadays, the pigeon sport in China has rushed to the forefront of the times in terms of scale and quality! Nevertheless, how many clubs in China have the courage and experience to try, plan and organize such challenging races and achieve great success fanally? Is this not a world class event in pigeon sport? To show one’s most powerful pigeons in Weili Club and compete with the best racers in the most challenging five-round-youngster races has been a Chinese fancier’s dream and glory!

After the 2016 season, the club is constructing a group of dwellings with more than 40 lofts surrounding the Weili Manor for bigger races in the autumn of 2017,and most of the lofts have been booked. Weili Club welcomes more fanciers from all over the world to play in the ancient hospital with a history of more than 3000 years!
